Scheana Shay News

From “Vanderpump Rules” The “Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay claims that “stress and anxiety” caused her to lose weight unhealthily. “I don’t think that is a healthy weight for me,” she stated. “It shows what stress and anxiety do to your body.”

Scheana Shay is speaking out about how her health has been damaged by recent stress in her life.

The Vanderpump Rules star highlighted how she just shed an “unhealthy” amount of weight on Friday’s episode of her podcast Shenanigans. She acknowledged that after giving birth to her daughter Summer, who is now 2 years old, she made gains but that recently, as she’s become more stressed, she’s observed herself reverting to old patterns.

The 37-year-old said, “Ever after I had the baby, I tried not to weigh myself constantly because I didn’t want to get so hooked on the number. The past two months of my life have simply been insane, a lot has happened recently that has changed my eating and exercise routine, and I’ve lost more weight.

“Recently, I retrieved the scale from the closet. I no longer have it on display since I never want to return to that location, she said. “However, I stepped on it and thought, ‘Okay, time to up the food and up the weights.'” I don’t think it is a healthy weight for me, so I don’t want to be in the 1-0s. And it demonstrates what anxiety and stress do to your body.

Shay also revealed to nutritionist Lauren Hubert that some people have assumed she is using Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription drug for persons with type 2 diabetes, because of her recent weight reduction.

“People have asked me recently whether I’m on it, and I’m not at all. I’d never do it. For me, no,” she replied. “I don’t want to name any names, but I have other friends who have joked about it, saying things like, ‘Well, after my next baby I’ll just get on Ozempic.’ “I don’t think that is what it’s there for,” I say.

“I didn’t go on a specific diet after having my baby,” she continued. “I just kept working out and didn’t really drink much during the first year — I was still breastfeeding.”

In February, Shay entered the discussion over Ozempic and weight loss, confessing to PEOPLE that she was unaware of the drug at the time and that it had been abused for weight loss in Hollywood circles.

Semaglutide and tripeptide, also marketed under the names Wegovy and Mounjaro, affect satiety in the brain. One of their brand names is Ozempic.

Shay remarked, “I haven’t heard of it,” to which her husband Brock Davies responded, “Our secret is simply wandering through your home. You know, go for a stroll outside. If you want to lose weight, keep an eye on your diet and get some exercise.
