CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times outside of the 10th Avenu Bi-mart in Caldwell Saturday night.
Caldwell Police and the Canyon County Sheriff's Office say they received shots fired call at around 3:50 p.m.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a 23-year-old man who had been shot at least two to three times.
According to Lt. Joey Hoadley, the victim was in the parking lot in his car when he was approached by two other men in their 20's.
Hoadley says as the two men approached the victim's car, an altercation happened and they started firing rounds into his car.
After being shot, the victim tried to flee the scene and drove into 4 different cars in the parking lot, and crashed.
Police say the two suspects fled to a nearby car that was waiting for them.
Hoadley says police are trying to establish how the two suspects know the victim but said this "wasn't a random act."
The victim was shot two to three times but is in a stable conditon.
Police say they arent sure of the condition of the two suspects, but evidence on the scene points to one of the suspects was injured.
