Late actor Vinod Khanna’s first wife Geetanjali passed away last evening in Alibaug.  Mother of Rahul and Akshaye Khanna, Geetanjali was 70 years old. She and Akshaye had decided to go to their family farmhouse in Mandva over the weekend and as soon as they reached there, she complained of feeling uneasy. Akshaye then took her to a hospital in Chondi village, said assistant police inspector Meghna Burande. She also added that Geetanjali then came back to the farmhouse with Akshaye as she was feeling better. Akshaye then went out for a while and on his return found out that she had passed away as she was found unconscious in her bedroom. On taking her to a civil hospital in Alibaug, she was declared dead. 

The last rites of late Geetanjali were performed in Alibaug and the officials have said that there is nothing suspicious about the situation and it is being called a natural death. Our condolences are with the family.
