Jacquees, real name Rodriquez Jacques Broadnax, is an American Rnb singer, Rapper, and Songwriter from Decatur, Georgia. He was born on April 15, 1994. At the age of 9, he found his passion for singing and dancing. He grew up following music from The Jackson and The Temptations movies. Throughout his middle school years, Jacquees performed at various talent shows winning all of them. His talent was eventually noticed by a number of recruiting agents. Throughout his musical ventures, he would collaborated with the likes of Birdman, T.I., Travis Porter, Chris Brown, Trinidad James and Ty Dolla $ign to name a few. His style of music often crosses paths between RnB and Hip Hop. However, he recognizes himself as an RnB singer.

CAREER
Jacquees’ career started in 2007 after he met manager Orlando Grind. Being accustom to Jacquees’ talent, Grind introduced him to Russell “Block” Spencer. Block was the founder and then CEO of Block Entertainment. The two began working on music together. At first, Jacquees did not fit in with the environment as it didn’t represent what he was about. Block was more focused on Rap music and turned a blind eye to Rnb. In 2009, Block would witness Jacquees’ talent, and that in turn changed his entire perception about music.

In 2010, he released his first solo album “I am Jaquees” which featured the single “Krazy” with T.I. The two continued to work putting out a variety of music. In 2014, Jaquees self-released EP “19.” 19 would rank #15 on the US Billboard Top RnB Albums. On some of his tracks, he collaborated with Lloyd, Chris Brown, Birdman, and Trinidad James. Later that year, he promulgated that he signed a record contract with Cash Money Records. After Cash Money signed him, he released a barrage of singles and mixtapes. In 2016, his single “B.E. D” ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It brought him more exposure and success. Jacquees recently collaborated with Def Loaf creating a mixtape and a single “At the Club.” As his career flourishes, he continues to put out quality work and collaborate with big-name artists.
